Bankruptcy Attorney Merced
My name is Jeff Rowe. I’ve been practicing law in the Merced and Fresno for over 12 years. I have offices in both Merced and Fresno, and my practice is almost exclusively designated to representing individuals, families and businesses in bankruptcy.
My years of law practice has been geared towards representing individuals and small businesses. I don’t represent banks, credit card companies, collection agencies, finance companies or mortgage companies.
I’m 4th generation valley resident, not a transplant from LA or San Francisco. I love both cities. I lived and went to college in Los Angeles, but returned to attend law school and practice law, but the Valley is my home.
The US, and especially the Central Valley is currently in the middle of an economic recession unseen since the Great Depression, and more families and businesses are finding they are stretched to the limit financially and need answers and help navigating their personal financial problems. They are being attacked from all sides with no government bailout in sight – by the way none is coming. The election and the promises? You can be the judge of how that is shaping up.
Radio and Television ads are filled with advertisements promising help and financial restructuring. These companies, with their flashy commercials only end up offering empty promises. I know: I hear horror stories every week about one of these companies offering to negotiate your debt, modify your mortgage or the scare tactics of collection “terrorists” who attack with unrelenting phone calls and letters threatening lawsuits.
By the time someone reads this page they are seriously considering their options as they relate to their finances situation. (What do I do now?)
The internet is a great tool for people researching information regarding any topic under the sun, including bankruptcy, loan and credit card negotiation, foreclosures, real estate and life after bankruptcy.
This website was designed with that in mind, but with a difference, it focuses upon the local needs of Merced, Mariposa and Merced county families and businesses.
These counties are underserved by a full-time, Merced Bankruptcy Attorney attorney. If you live in Merced, Mariposa and Merced counties, your bankruptcy must be filed in Fresno. With offices in both Merced and Fresno, I’m the only local bankruptcy attorney with offices in both cities.
If you hire a lawyer in Sacramento, San Francisco or Modesto they will most likely charge extra or have to hire a Fresno attorney to meet you in court (they won’t want to drive to Fresno). So the attorney you hire won’t even both to be in court with you when you meet with the bankruptcy trustee or face your creditors.
If you are seeking to file Chapter 7, Chapter 13 or a Small Business Bankruptcy and want to sit down and discuss in detail your options: Stay Local.
